Synopsis - Having the newest digital accessories is great, but what if they are gradually taking over every aspect of our private and working lives? In his prescient play, Philipp Löhle creates a parallel universe where our worst fears about Big Data and AI have come true – but not without laughing at the absurdity of it all.
All staged readings begin at 6 PM followed by a talkback and complimentary reception.

Philipp Löhle, Loehle was born in Ravensburg in 1978 and studied history, theater / media and German literature in Erlangen and Rome. For his play "Called Gospodin" (2007) the author received several awards. Also in 2007, Philipp Loehle won the work commission from the Theatertreffen-Stückemarkt, Berlin. "Lilly Link or Hard Times for the Rev..." was awarded the jury prize of the Heidelberger Stückemarkt in 2008. His plays were invited to the Mülheimer Theatertage, Germany’s most important festival for contemporary drama: “Genannt Gospodin” in 2008, "Das Ding" in 2012 (the play won the audience award, and "Du (Normen)" in 2014.
Philipp Löhle was a resident author at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin, the National Theatre Mannheim and the Staatstheater Mainz. He has been the resident author at the Nuremberg State Theater since the season 2019/20.
Verena Thim
Verena Thim, originally from Austria, has been living and working in England since 2001 and has completed degrees in Natural Sciences and Translation, specialising in theatre, literature, science, and the arts. She is currently studying World Performances, Theatres and Cultures at Goldsmiths University, London and involved in an award-winning immersive theatre project in the West End. Previous translations include playscripts, short stories, exhibition catalogues and academic essays. Verena is proud to be part of the IVP.
